Interview with Princess Sophie from Mike Martin's PRINCESS SOPHIE AND THE CHRISTMAS ELIXIR

 

We’re thrilled to be talking to Princess Sophie from Mike Martin's PRINCESS SOPHIE AND THE CHRISTMAS ELIXIR.  It is a pleasure to have her with us today at Pimp That Character!
 

Thank you for your interview, Princess Sophie.  How old are you and what do you like doing most of all? 

I am 6 years old and I love celebrating Christmas the most of all. 


Can you tell us about one of your most distinguishable features?

I am always smiling. People say that my smile lights up a room, but that’s really
electricity.

What would I love the most about you?

You would love that I am always happy. I’m the happiest princess in the world.

What makes you laugh out loud?

My friend Hoppy, the rabbit makes me laugh every day. Except when he won’t stop hopping, that makes me crazy. Especially when I’m trying to think.

What is your most treasured possession?

My most treasured possession is my tiara which was given to be by my grandmother, the wise Queen Mother Irene.

Are you a loner or do you prefer to be surrounded by friends? 

I like being by myself or with Hoppy. But I also love to be surrounded by my friends, the
birds and the animals of the forest.

What is your greatest fear? 

My greatest fear is that something would happen to the wild woods outside our village. That’s a special place for everyone.

If you could change one physical thing about yourself, what would that be? 

I would be taller. Being 3 feet high is not very high at all. I could reach a lot more if I was taller. But not 10 feet tall, then I couldn’t get into the doors of the castle.

Who is your best friend? 

Hoppy the rabbit

What is your favorite weather? 

I love snow. Especially Christmas snow to play in.

What are you doing right now?

I’m getting ready to go to bed. Nighty Night.

Since it's the Christmas season, what do you want for Christmas?

I want everyone to feel the magic of Christmas and to believe in it. That way we can
keep it forever.

Mike Martin was born in St. John’s, NL on the east coast of Canada and now lives and works in Ottawa, Ontario. He is a long-time freelance writer and his articles and essays have appeared in newspapers, magazines and online across Canada as well as in the United States and New Zealand.
