Character Interview: Kona from Charles M.'s THE JUNGLE WITHIN
We’re thrilled to be talking to Kona from Charles M’s, The Jungle Within. It is a
pleasure to have her with us today at Pimp That Character!
Thank you for your interview, Kona. How old are you and what do you do for a
living?
I am as old as time itself. What I do for a living…well it’s
what most people fear. I am Death.
Can you tell us about one of your most distinguishable
features?
My yellow eyes contrast beautifully against my black coat. I
have a long, pink tongue that lays neatly between my razor sharp, white fangs.
What would I love the most about you?
The fact that I’m so beautiful.
What would I hate the most about you?
The fact that I scare you.
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is being misunderstood. If people only knew
that living was the hard part of life, they would learn to love.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
The author portrayed me in the one the only we he could.
With a metaphor.
Are you a loner or do you prefer to surround yourself
with friends?
Unfortunately, I have no friends. I have a very specific job
in the universe and that job is not very popular. I take people all living things
from one form of life to another. It’s really that simple.
What is your favorite weather?
I prefer the rain of the jungle. It makes my coat shiny and
live. As if light were trying to burst out behind me. It’s quite breathtaking.
Someone is secretly in love with you. Who is it and how do you feel about that?
I think desperate people might be in love me. I would tell
them to enjoy life. It’s a very special experience. And besides, I’m not going
anywhere.
What is your most treasured possession?
The life force of the universe. Without it, I have no job.
About the Author
Despite
growing up in a small town, I always knew I was destined for bigger things. At
age eighteen, I enlisted in the US Navy, a move that allowed me to see the
world and explore my passion for life. After 6 years and an honorable
discharge, I settled into civilian life, earning my Bachelor of Science in
Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Technology Management.
Always eager
to challenge myself with new and different roles, I took on the role of
“Author,” writing my debut novel among the roles of full-time engineer, local
business owner, and family man. But, I have no plans to stop there!
I am an avid
outdoorsman, enjoy camping, hiking, snowboarding, shooting, and fishing, making
the Land of Enchantment an ideal
place to call home.
I look
