Interview with Caleb King, character from TELL ME A STORY

We’re thrilled to be talking to Caleb King from Tamara Lush’s TELL ME A STORY.  It is a pleasure to have him with us today at Pimp That Character!

Thank you for your interview, Caleb King.  How old are you and what do you do for a living?

I am forty and I own a large real estate development company. It recently made the Forbes 500 list.

Can you tell us about one of your most distinguishable features?

I am told by a very beautiful woman, my girlfriend Emma, that my voice is unique and sexy. She says it’s an addictive baritone buzz, quick in its cadence yet precise when I pronounce individual words.

What is your greatest fear?

That my girlfriend, Emma, won’t fully open her heart to me. She’s guarded because of what’s happened in her past. I adore this woman, and want to have a future with her. I fear that she’s not capable of trusting me fully.

What is the trait you most not like about yourself?

I am precise almost to a fault. I overresearch and I over analyze. Sometimes I’m also a little bossy. That’s what Emma says.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?

I think the author exaggerated my arrogance. A man is not arrogant if the conceits are true.

What is your idea of a perfect day?

Waking up next to my beloved Emma, making long, slow love to her, and then sharing coffee and a newspaper in bed.

What are three must haves when shopping at the grocery store?

Expensive wine, expensive cheese and dark chocolate.

If you could change one physical thing about yourself, what would that be?

Although Emma says she loves the slight gray in my hair, I would change it. I don’t dislike it enough to use hair color for men – I think that’s a bit tacky – but I do long for the days when I had jet-black hair. Aging sucks.

What is your favorite weather?

Blazing Florida sunshine. I love the rich blue of a Florida summer sky against the green of palm trees and the blue of the ocean. Plus, I enjoy watching Emma perspire just a little, because it’s oh so sexy.

What’s your idea of a perfect meal?

That’s funny, because I used to love red meat. Emma’s a vegetarian and I’ve been learning to cook vegetables of all kind. Lately, I’ve enjoyed trying new foods with her, including delicious gourmet raw vegan food. It’s unusual, but so aren’t many things we do for love?

If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would you do today?

I would have a short dinner with my parents, brother and sister, and then I would spend an entire night making love to Emma, showing her how much I care for her and whispering into her ear everything she’s ever wanted to hear from me.
