Character Interview: Meridian of M.D. Fryson's Meridian Chronciles: Black Widow Curse & The Coven

We’re thrilled to be talking to Meridian from MD Fryson’s, Meridian Chronicles:  Black Widow Curse & The Coven.  It is a pleasure to have her with us today at Pimp That Character!

Thank you for your interview, Meridian.  Can you tell us about one of your most distinguishable features?

My green eyes.  Tallulah tells me that she has never seen someone with green eyes have such depth.

What would I love the most about you?

That I am most certainly in this book, as a human, one that you have never met before.  I am a spirit guide that now has been banished to live on Earth as a human.

What makes you laugh out loud?

Relic, my old friend from the Spirit Realm.  I can’t hear him the entire time through the book, but back before I was cast away, some of his commentary made me laugh.

What is your greatest fear?
Never returning home, to Etheria.  The fate of humankind and the other spirits in my realm have a lot at stake.  I am afraid what will happen to them if I don’t return.  My leader has a dark secret and I feel I have so much on my shoulders so things don’t go off track again.

What is the trait you most not like about yourself?
What I dislike most about myself is the one thing right now that I struggle with the most.  Having faith in myself to make the right decisions where no one is hurt.  If I tell you too much more, it will spoil the story.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
I do, my situation is complicated enough.  If a reader pays attention, she describes my physical features in the first book, and the big change I go through physically in this book.  Before I was cast away, I feel that a lot of the time I reacted in an emotional way, not really thinking things through.  I feel looking back, I was a bit naïve and selfish.  With all these new human experiences that I didn’t get to really witness in the short time of watching over humans when I was a spirit guide, I am seeing now that I have a lot to learn.

What is your idea of a perfect day?
The day that this horrible curse is broken.

Who is your best friend?

Right now, Tallulah, she has helped me so much with all that has happened to me.  She took me in and has really been there for me through this situation.

What’s your idea of a perfect meal?

Tallulah’s pancakes or anything I eat when I am with Aiden always tastes good.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Living a childhood, so to speak isn’t the same as a human’s childhood.  Before I was cast out of my realm of Etheria, my destiny was already set for me.  As a realm born guide, I was in training with my parents and the elders to at one point watch over humankind, to protect them.  I remember only a few, after that I was cast away.  Now my hope is to return home.

About the Author

I am a wife and mom to three boys. I am an animal lover especially horses that I used to ride, train and show. Someday will do once more!

Favorite books are anything astrology, self help, motivation, romance and humor.

I love chocolate, coffee, my family (not in that order), and the beach.

I like to garden, hike, jog, swim and travel. My oldest two boys tell me I am weird as they laugh and I’ll take that as a good thing. I am told I am witty and sarcastic and I believe that comes out in my writing.

The third installment to this series comes out September, 2019 and I am nearly finished with the last book to the series that comes out in 2020.
