{Character Interview} Anne of 'Awakening: Dreamers' Realm One
We’re thrilled to be talking
to Anne from Karen Arnpriester’s, Awakening: Dreamers' Realm One. It is a
pleasure to have her with us today at Pimp That Character!
Thank you for
your interview, Anne. How old are you and what do you do for a living?
Seriously, you think I’m going
to tell you how old I am? I have the benefit of concealing my age here in the
Dream Realm. I’m certainly not going to shatter the illusion for you. (pause) I
am a lawyer. I help people, especially pathetic, stupid women. Try to prove
differently and you will be taken care of.
What would I love the most
about you?
I am a successful woman in a male
dominated industry. I clawed my way up to the top on my own, without anyone’s
help. If you get in my way, I will go through you to get what I want. I am a
real success story for women today.
What would I hate the most
about you?
My superior intellect and
success. When you compare your pathetic existence to my life, you will hate the
fact that you can never be me.
Where do you go when you are
angry?
I don’t go anywhere. I assign
one of my men, and they take care of the problem … quickly and discreetly.
What is in your refrigerator
right now?
I’m sure whatever I desire,
but you’d have to ask my servant if you want a list.
What is your greatest fear?
I do not experience fear, I
ensure others do.
Do you think the author
portrayed you accurately?
No, she sympathizes with Luce
and Richard. Like they are so good? Lucinda is naive and self-absorbed. Richard
just wants to keep Lucinda happy, so he gets what he wants. They are both
pathetic hypocrites that hide behind their religion. I was not given the
respect for what I brought to the story.
What is your idea of a perfect
day?
Time alone with Luce … her in
shackles and a fully equipped tool chest.
Are you a loner or do you
prefer to surround yourself with friends?
I don’t invest any time or energy
in friends. They just want to suck the life out of you when they need a
shoulder to cry on or money. I prefer my crew. They do whatever I tell them,
and they don’t dare to expect anything other than our contract terms.
Do you have children?
No. They are the ultimate
energy suckers. Worse than friends.

About the Book:
The
horror of her sister's abduction and Lucinda’s guilt manifest into years of
acute insomnia. She appears to be miraculously healed when she participates in
a test program that provides restful sleep but awakens a new dream realm … an
alternative existence where Lucinda can create and manipulate any fantasy
inspired by her imagination. Lucinda’s new realm is shattered by a dark evil
that lurks there. Evil that is not confined to nightmares, but a sinister foe
that also hunts for victims in the real world. Lucinda's discarded spiritual
beliefs resurface and prompt her to begin a perilous journey against this very
real threat; a heartless creature that destroys innocent lives. The dream realm,
spiritual domain and Lucinda’s physical reality integrate and twist together as
Lucinda rediscovers her faith and confronts the monster that threatens her very
life and those she loves.
